1. Acceptance

By using lockets.app you agree to these terms. You must be 18 or older, or have verifiable parental consent. Use of this platform is subject to applicable law in your jurisdiction.

2. Your content

You own all content you create on lockets.app. By uploading, you grant Lockets a limited licence to store, encrypt, and deliver your content as instructed by you. We claim no ownership over your messages, stories, voice recordings, or any other content you create.

3. Lifetime message limit

Each account is limited to 10 sealed time capsule messages. This limit cannot be transferred, gifted, or increased. Deleted capsules count toward this limit.

4. Pricing and payments

All charges are per-use with no subscription required. Current pricing: $2 per 100 words (written), $3 per 3 minutes (voice), $5 per 5 minutes (video), $5 per public key (I Was Here), $3 per slow letter. Credits never expire and are non-refundable once purchased. Bundles are final sale.

5. Prohibited content

You may not use lockets.app to create, store, or transmit content that constitutes threats of violence, incitement to harm, sexual exploitation of minors, instructions for illegal activity, harassment, or any content that is illegal in your jurisdiction. Automated content filters are applied at upload. Violations result in immediate account termination without refund.

6. Guardian system

Appointed guardians may confirm a user's passing via an in-app form. Lockets takes reasonable steps to verify such confirmations but cannot guarantee accuracy. No legal or probate determination is made by this platform. The guardian system is a platform-level mechanism only and has no legal standing.

7. Legacy Store

By listing content on the Legacy Store, you or your guardian authorise Lockets to display and deliver your content to paying users. 70% of proceeds are paid to your nominated beneficiary. Lockets retains 30%. Prices are set by you or your guardian. Lockets reserves the right to remove listings that violate these terms.

8. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time. Sealed capsules with future unlock dates will continue to be stored and delivered per your instructions unless you explicitly request deletion before sealing. Once sealed, capsules cannot be deleted by the account holder — this protects the integrity of the message for the recipient.

9. Service availability

Lockets makes every reasonable effort to maintain continuous service. We are not liable for temporary outages, data loss due to events beyond our control, or changes to third-party services we depend on. Our 100-year archival commitment is subject to our continuity trust structure described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of lockets.app after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
